FAB Fives...

Why do you read a novel or watch a soccer match or may be a cricket match? Why do you leave everything, literally everything to watch Rafa play Fed-Ex in a grand slam final, and every time Feddie looses you want to break someone’ head? Why do you watch Friend’s,Simpson’s, or Seinfield or Dekh Bhai Dekh even though you have seen all the episodes a zillion times? Why do you play Pink Floyd and forget everything and everyone when your room "echoes" "Comfortably Numb"? Why do you download Victoria Secret’s Fashion show even though guys around you have giga bytes of classy porn ? Why do you watch a movie?? Ahh that’s the question I was looking for and the answer I am still searching.

So let me carry on my search for a perfect answer, as perfect as Douglas Adam’s “42”. In the mean time if you want to, you can go through the must watch movie list, not classified on genre, or Decade, or Actors, directors or whatever crap we normally see. My idea of movie watching is what compliments your mood, your day. A movie watched when you are high can become a piece of shit when sober. Without anymore bakwaas let me present the all important list.

When High (Reason booze):-

  1. Pulp fiction
  2. Fight Club
  3. American Psycho
  4. A clockwork Orange
  5. Trainspotting

When High and feel like you rule the world (Coz of any other fucking reason):-

1. Fight Club

2. Godfather ( 1 and 2, don’t ever watch 3rd installment if you respect first two)

3. Sin city

4. V for Vendetta

5. Snatch

When Depressed and need Hope (Breakup, Failed in exam, Next day exam, Office effect)

  1. Shaw shank Redemption
  2. Miracle
  3. Pursuit of happiness
  4. Taare Zameen par
  5. Good will hunting

When nothing is indecipherable and you know everything

  1. Memento
  2. Fight Club
  3. Shaw shank redemption
  4. The usual suspects
  5. The prestige

When yours is the most fucked up life

  1. Requiem for a dream
  2. Schindler's List
  3. A clockwork orange
  4. About Schmidt
  5. Cast Away.

To Be Continued
